Abstract

The socio-economic conditions of Russia impose requirements for the professional training of graduates of pedagogical universities. The formation of solid systemic knowledge, the ability to carry out activities according to the specifics of professional and pedagogical activity, the formation of experience in carrying out research activities in the context of educational problems becomes crucial. The importance of the formation of research competence as a basic basis for professional self-development becomes important connecting with the tasks set for the university in the training of future teachers. It is the success of the research competence formation of pedagogical university students in the learning process that demonstrates the quality of preparation for future professional activity. There is a need to find ways and means of forming students' research competence, their involvement in research activities, reflecting the nature of the teacher's professional and pedagogical activity. Researchers are faced with the necessity to determine the component composition of research competence, find ways to form knowledge, abilities, skills and experience in conducting research in its structure, skills to create a new educational product, a new solution to a problem in the field of education. It becomes important to substantiate the forms, methods and technologies that activate the process of students acquiring knowledge, skills and experience enclosed in research competence. One of the productive forms can be an immersion seminar allowing to form the component composition of the competence under study which will serve as the basis for acquiring experience in conducting pedagogical research. It is necessary to identify and substantiate the pedagogical possibilities of the immersion seminar in the formation of the research competence of pedagogical university students.
