Abstract
Modern education at all levels is associated with the expansion of the possibilities of innovative processes, innovative forms and methods, innovative technologies aimed at improving the quality of education, changing approaches to the organization of the educational process, the formation of professional qualities and teachers’ competencies. Supervision is widely being developed by scientists as the teacher’s professional development, determining its content, terminological support of the concept, revealing the possibilities of using supervision technology in the field of education.
The article presents a theoretical analysis of the concept “pedagogical supervision”, clarifying the essence of pedagogical supervision, its goals and functional characteristics. The research was carried out with the financial support of research works on priority areas of partner universities of South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University and Shadrinsk State Pedagogical University in 2022 on the topic "Supervision as a progressive resource for the formation of professional competence of teachers".
