Using the technique “dictogloss” on the foreign language lessons
Abstract
The author of the article views the technique forming the foreign-language communicative competence and having the important linguo-didactical potential. The author has made a theoretical and practical analysis of the technique “dictogloss”. So, dictogloss is a variety of a dictation, though it develops not only the written language of students but also speaking, reading and listening, activates speech thinking activities to solve practical speech tasks. On the basis of the analysis the author determines the stages, the functions and the advantages of the technique. Dictogloss helps to develop speech skills in the process of teaching a foreign language.
