The project method as a mechanism for the gifted students’ development
Abstract
This article is devoted to the problems of development and work with gifted students in mathematics in hobby groups. The idea of developing and teaching gifted children is reflected in the “Concept of a nationwide system for identifying and developing young talents” approved by the President on March 3, 2012, which presents the main goals and principles for identifying and developing such children. The concepts of gifted children, children's giftedness in psychology and pedagogy are highlighted. The requirements for the use of the project method for the development of gifted students are presented.
