Main aspects of updating the content of biological education at the level of basic general education

Abstract

Significant changes are taking place in the modern educational system of the Russian Federation due to the requirements for the updated federal state standards of basic general education and secondary general education. The urgency of the problem is justified by significant changes in the content of the subject “Biology”. Thus, it is important to provide meaningful methodological training for future and current biology teachers in the transition from concentric to linear construction of the content of biological education. The article describes of the main aspects of the implementation of federal state standards of basic general education and secondary general education in the educational process. The author proves the relevance of conducting a study among biology teachers in Shadrinsk and Shadrinsk district in order to identify difficulties in implementing the updated content and the reasons they are caused.

The author gives the main arguments about the necessity to organize advanced training courses for biology teachers, taking into account the identified deficits, to create networking and provide professional and methodological support in the context of educational reform.
