Abstract

The article discusses the feasibility of using the competence-based approach in preschool education regarding the organization of health-preserving education for older preschool children. The analysis of the content of the concepts “health-preserving competence” and “health-preserving competence” is carried out as well as the essence of pedagogical activity based on the application of the competence-based approach is revealed. The modern views and approaches of scientific researchers, scientists and practicing specialists to the need to form health-preserving competence in older preschoolers are considered and determined, based on the age characteristics of the child. In the course of the theoretical analysis of scientific literature, the following were identified: the main aspects of the competence-based approach in the context of health preservation, a number of approaches to understanding the essence of the health-preserving competence of preschoolers, as well as the features of the organization, content and main directions of the formation of a health-preserving learning process in the conditions of an educational institution.
