Abstract

Ivan Mikheevich Pervushin (1827-1900) who discovered the largest Prime number for his time, taught at the Perm theological Seminary from 1856 served as a priest in the village of Zamaraevo, Shadrinskiy district, Perm province, and from 1884 to 1887 – in the Nicholas Church of Shadrinsk. The article tells about how the memory of the outstanding Russian mathematician was preserved at Shadrinsk state pedagogical University for eighty years: reports were made, articles and books were published on the life and work of I. M. Pervushin and excursions to the house where he lived were organized.
