Abstract

This article examines the interrelation between emotional sphere parameters and constructive patriotism among teenage-gamers. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing influence of digital technologies and video games on the formation of young people’s personal characteristics including their emotional intelligence and patriotic feelings. The aim of the work is to identify the connections between levels of emotional intelligence, empathy and constructive patriotism in adolescents who are actively involved in the gaming community.

The study employed methods aimed at assessing emotional intelligence, empathy and patriotism which made it possible to obtain a comprehensive picture of the emotional state and patriotic attitudes of adolescent gamers. The results of the analysis show that a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy correlates with more pronounced constructive patriotism, highlighting the significance of the emotional sphere in the formation of patriotic feelings. The findings can be used to develop effective educational and upbringing methodologies that foster the development of emotional intelligence and constructive patriotism among youth.
