Abstract

The article provides a theoretical and methodological review of the literature on the research problem. During the theoretical and methodological review of the literature, methodological approaches were described, as they determine the key directions of development of all components of higher professional education. The criteria, indicators and levels of conceptual orientation of the ways of developing managerial potential in higher education institutions were also highlighted. The course of experimental work for masters in the field of training 44.04.01 Pedagogical education (Master's program: Management of an educational institution), conducted on the basis of the Donetsk State University, is considered. The essence and specifics of the concept of "human resource potential", as well as the principles of its formation in an educational organization, are revealed. The ways to achieve the set goal of effective management of human resource development are indicated, and the reserve capabilities of higher education in this area are considered.
