Formation of indicators of personal identity in University College students
Abstract
The article is devoted to the formation of personal identity indicators in University College 1st-2nd year students as a key aspect of personality development in early adolescence. The authors consider theoretical aspects of the definition of personal identity, its structure, patterns, factors and conditions of its development allowing to assess the indicators of its development in college students. The article focuses on the process of formation of personal identity indicators in 15–18-year-old students through art therapy, metaphorical associative cards, role-playing games, psychogymnastics and relaxation. The results of the ascertaining stage emphasize the importance of supporting and accompanying adolescents in the process of forming their personal identity (low indicators of development of the cognitive component: the development of knowledge about “self-images”, differentiation of the “self-image”, awareness of the life path, awareness of values, affective component: positive self-attitude, emotional maturity, self-conformity, behavioral component: responsibility for choices in significant areas, acceptance of the present, self-sufficiency.). The article presents evidence of the effectiveness of the implemented program for the formation of personal identity indicators in 1st-2nd year students using the Fisher angular transformation criterion.
