Abstract
The article examines contemporary approaches to teaching foreign languages to young children, emphasizing the significance of early language acquisition for the holistic development of the child. An intuitive-practical approach is highlighted, which is based on the natural assimilation of language through active participation in communication and play activities. The process of forming a secondary linguistic personality is underscored, encompassing the communicative and sociocultural skills necessary for successful integration into intercultural communication. The methods and techniques employed in the teaching process are described, including elements of foreign folklore and interactive games. The results of practical work on early foreign language education for young children in supplementary educational settings are presented, and the effectiveness of the proposed methodology is analyzed.
