Department of programming and automation of business processes. History and modernity

Abstract

The Department of Programming and Automation of Business Processes was established in 2016. However, there was a prehistory closely related to how computer technology appeared at Shadrinsk State Pedagogical Institute and how the teaching of computer disciplines developed: from teaching one discipline “Informatics and Computer Engineering” (1987) to the emergence of a specialized department (1989) and then the faculty of “Informatics” (1999). This article is devoted to the results of the work of the Department of Programming and Automation of Business Processes and the history of its emergence. An overview of the development of teaching computer disciplines is presented beginning with the appearance of computers at Shadrinsk State Pedagogical Institute in the mid-1980s and up to the present moment. The results of the work of the Department of Programming and Automation of Business Processes in recent years are given: educational work, scientific and extracurricular activities.
