Abstract

The article is devoted to the trending topic of early study of foreign languages. The author provides the researchers’ recommendations on teaching preschool children and considers the most popular methods of teaching foreign languages. The author presents the possibilities of using listening in teaching preschool children a foreign language. The article contains a fragment of the study program consisting of the English language course with the lesson’s plan description. The course is for preschool children who have not previously studied English. Learning the course involves using of listening in one form or another at each lesson. The results of the study prove the effectiveness of using listening as a technique that significantly increases pupils’ interest in the classes and in learning a foreign language in general. The purpose of the study is the implementation of a methodology for teaching English to preschool children using listening regularly. This experience can be interesting to both beginners and experienced teachers and methodologists.
