The use of pictograms in the educational process for the vocabulary development of preschoolers with speech disorders
Abstract
This article is aimed at studying and updating the issues of speech development of preschool children with speech disorders due to organic neurological etiology and symptoms. The main emphasis is given to the consideration of the features of the formation of active and passive vocabulary of children with speech disorders. It is emphasized that the study of vocabulary features is given great importance not only in relation to children with developmental disabilities but the importance of working with preschoolers with speech disorders is actualized. A theoretical review of the lexical development of preschoolers. The author emphasizes the contribution of Russian scientists to the problem under study. The particular interest is paid to the positions of scientists and practitioners in the field of defectological education to the use of pictograms in working to improve the vocabulary of preschoolers. The phasing of speech therapy correction is described in experimental study aimed at developing children's skills and abilities to operate with lexical categories with the inclusion of a method of visualization, namely thematic pictograms and pictographic code. The effectiveness of the implemented content of the work of a speech therapist teacher with children of a compensatory orientation group has been proved.
